Life comes at you fast. A single moment can change it forever. During our time here, we get a handful of those moments. They define us. They make us who we are.
The singular moment that changed my life forever was meeting my wife. It was like the direction of my life took a u-turn. I was going one way, I met her, and I started going whatever way she was going! Four years later and my trailer is still hitched to her wagon.
We’ve packed a lot of life into our time together. A little less than a year after that day in July of 2013, we got engaged. Ten months after that, we were married. We bought a house. We became parents to a little girl. We sold that house and bought another one. We’ve endured job changes, deaths in our families, and other self-inflicted hard times. No matter what’s been thrown at us, we have endured. Our love for one another is undefeated.
Today is our second wedding anniversary and I’m more in love with my bride now than I’ve ever been. It is so comforting to know that we have each other’s backs no matter what happens. She is the first thing I want to see when I wake up in the mornings and the last thing I want to see before I sleep. I’m the luckiest man on the face of the earth.
